Short Shifter working principle explained

A Short Shifter is a linkage mechanism on the gearbox which shortens the gear throw.
This is the shift distance to cover when shifting from one gear to the next gear.

Not to be confused with actually shortening the length of the gear stick itself.
Such shortened sticks (like you can find plenty on the internet) are not an actual short shifter,
but just a lower gear stick).
The factory gear stick will always be kept untouched.
Our shorteners will only shorten the gear throw distance.

With a 4H-TECH shortening kit, you will have a shortened gear shift throw by approx. 25% to 50%.
(depending on car model and type)

The shortened gear shifts are sportier and more precise and crisper than original.
You are now able to shift much faster from one gear to the other gear,
which makes much better driving performance possible by saving time between gear changes.
It drives almost like a sequential gearbox Click-clack.
All gears follow each other directly.

Original 4H-TECH quality. Development and production by 4H-TECH.
Made in the Netherlands.
We have designed our linkages in a very refined way to make sure that no heavier movements occur,
they are very easy to operate.

Mounting: The original shift linkage on top or side of the gearbox must be exchanged with
this shortened 4H-TECH version.  No re-adjustments are required.
Installation time approx 20 - 40 minutes. (depending on car model and type)
Easy to do it yourself, you do not need special tools.

Easy to fit. 2 full years warranty.
