This 4H-TECH Q2-Shift is especialy designed for the newer model M20 and M32 Transmissions which are fitted with the upgraded shifter shaft (All Opel/Vauxhall and Chevrolet cars from model year 2017). This Q2 Shift is a next version of our very popular Q-Shift. (which is still available for the older type M32 transmissions from 2004-2012)

A real power shifter which reduces shift times, so up coming gears can be engaged faster.By fitting this shift linkage you will have a gear throw shortening of about 30%.
The factory gear stick model and height remains unchanged. The short shifter will be fitted on top of the gearbox where the shift linkage is located. Gear changes are much quicker and precise.

    Important!
    The M32 gearbox in your car can be fitted with 3 different types of shifter systems.
    They are all complete different from each other.
    It depends on the year of manufacture which shifter system is fitted by GM.

Product Installation Instructions:


Don't be affraid: To fit this short shifter arm to your gearbox, it is absolutely neccesary to first remove the complete shift shaft out of the transmission. It is not possible to remove the old shifter arm from this shaft when it is still in the car. This sounds like a hard job to do, but it is not that difficult. After removing the Battery and battery tray, you can reach the shifter. Just put the transmission in neutral, detach the shift cables and undo the 2 bolts which hold the shifter to the transmission. Now you can pull the shifter up from the transmission without any problem, fit the new (short) shifter to it, and slide it back in the transmission.

Fits a 2018 Cruze diesel. Does what it promises. Shift action is much improved. Good upgrade.

The instruction is not clear enough but 4H-tech was very helpful. My emails were answered quickly. The installation is not too difficult but not too easy either. There two pain point in installation. One is access to the bolt of housing at the back. There is no straight assess and it can't be seen. I used an inspection camera and joint socket to help undo and tighten it. The other is the pin was extremely tight. I finally manage to knock it out with a 4lb hammer which is normally for demolition after many attempts. The shifter throw is short and tight as described. Overall a good product once installed.

Shifter is good, its built real solid. My mechanic installed it with not much effort, in 1 hour everything was set up. It gets rid of the looseness of the previous shifter and it feels more mechanical, more straightforward, faster.
I lost the copper ring, which i believe it goes in the gear selector head to avoid it leaking oil from the gearbox?? my mechanic did install it without the copper ring with no issues.

For the product I’d rate a solid 5 stars, however due to the unclear instructions and the advanced fitting level, I’d rate the fitting 3 stars with a 4 star overall. The product itself is perfect and really tightens the throws. Really makes the insignia b what it should be.

Just finished the installation of the shifter.
Schifting has improved greatly, its shorter and more precise.
Installation itself doable however Some fiddeling is required. I needed Some help getting the old shifter off and 4H-tech helped me in a great way after a phonecall and a visit.
Don’t be to gentle getting the pin of the shifter out is my advise, however make sure it had good support.
On the Astra K you dont have to remove the battery, you have enough room when you only remove the motor management which is easy to do.

After a drive the shifter sets itself and gets even better after Some shifting.

Good mod for your car.
