This 4H-TECH L-Shift is especialy designed for the newer type M32 transmission. By fitting this linkage you will have a gear throw shortening of 45%. The factory gear stick model and height remains unchanged. Gear changes are much quicker and precise.

First off I want to say the customer service is amazing. Second, This short shifter is amazing on the 6 speed Cruze. What a wake up call in shifter stiffness, and reduced shifting distance almost half. Before this upgrade, the shifter was "soft" and stock had some rubber bushings and grommets, the sifter was also much harder to get into second and third, now because of the stiffness and reduced distance, it feels like your shifting a high end car. Never miss a gear and so much quicker.

The improvement of this shifter is phenomenal. Quite frankly, it’s unbelievable. The throw is easily 40% less, and the transmission doesn't feel as slushy. The 4H-TECH shifter feels a lot like the Tremec T-56 transmission that's in the Corvette and Camaro, which is very firm, and slightly notchy. The 4H-TECH M32 shifter if also 120 grams lighter than stock!
I assume that the purpose of the original GM rubber bushing/dampener in the stock shifter is to make shifting feel less notchy. The negative side effect is that it also makes shifting feel less precise, and slushy. The rubber is soft so it moves easily.
The 4H-TECH shifter gets rid of all of this, significantly reduces the throw of each shift, and gives you the sensation of an old school car with solid linkage.
Install took me just under one hour because I took my time. I removed the ECU and battery tray so I could take a couple pictures, but you could do it without removing either if you really wanted to. The shifter cable pops off easily with the use of a flathead screwdriver, and I took the shifter nut off using an impact wobbly and a really long extension. I was able to do this with everything (battery tray/ecu) still in place.

Got one of these in my Astra J. It's just awesome to drive now, they should've done this from factory.
