F40 Transmission

The F40 gearbox in your car can be fitted with 4 different types of shifter systems.
They are all complete different from each other.

It depends on the year of manufacture which shifter system is fitted by GM.

It is very easy:
Just open the hood, grab a flash-light and take a quick look ,
you'll see right away which one you have:

The following 3 options are possible:

(pictures on the left are original Opel/vauxhall or Chevrolet. Pictures on the right are the 4H-TECH short shifters versions of them.)

 Q-Shift  V-Shift

   Does your gear shifter look like this one?
  This type of shifter arm is used on the first versions
  of F40 transmissions. Made till september 2008.
  The type of transmission uses the 4H-TECH V-Shift as short

  Z-Shift
  Does your gear shifter look like this one?
  This type of shifter arm is used on the second
  generation of F40 transmissions.
  Made from oktober 2008 till 2013.
  This type of transmission uses the Z-Shift as short

   K-Shift
  Does your gear shifter look like this one?
  This type of shifter arm is used on the thirth
  generation of F40 transmissions.
  Made from 2013 till 05-2016.
  This type of transmission uses the K-Shift as short

   K2-Shift

  Does your gear shifter look like this one?
  This type of shifter arm is used on the 4th
  generation of F40 transmissions.
  Made from may 2016 till now.
